Cyber Reverse Engineer

CACI is seeking a Reverse Engineer to join our team at Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland. Join a team that tackles complex, multi-disciplinary problems spanning A variety of disciplines. You'll have the opportunity to learn and explore new topics while leveraging your existing skills to address binary analysis and reverse engineering problems.

Responsibilities: As a Reverse Engineer, you'll contribute to a team that works hands on with state-of-the-art electronics. You'll perform advanced analysis and evaluation of applications and firmware and assist with the development of new techniques for a variety of systems in support of the teams work on new technologies.

Qualifications: Required: Active Top-Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain SCI. BS in computer science or a related discipline and 5 years of directly related experience. Significant understanding of Networking, Cybersecurity, Linux, Cryptography (public/private key pairs, symmetric, and asymmetric ciphers), and computer programming (C++/Python) and debugging. High-proficiency with written and verbal communications. Ability to articulate technical concepts and findings to stakeholders to support decision making. Experience with either IDA Pro or Ghidra, a significant understanding of reverse engineering tasks (static/dynamic analysis, machine code emulation, and firmware review). Experience with networking and communication protocols (TCP/IP, I2C, SPI, UART), Linux, ARM, and Android internal processing and kernels for both operating systems and applications.

  • Familiarity with Android OS, mobile device debugging techniques
  • Experience analyzing APK files
  • Experience threat hunting or performing penetration tests
  • Experience with electrical hardware and circuit board analysis
  • Experience with benchtop equipment such as oscilloscopes, signal/power analyzers, and multimeters
  • Experience performing micro-soldering
  • Experience with unmanned systems such as UAS, UGV, and USV
  • Familiarity with the programmatic use of APIs
  • Experience working with containers at a technical level

Pay Range: There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications.
