Join a major marine and civil construction project in Mozambique, supporting the delivery of large-scale infrastructure works in an international setting. As a Technical Office Engineer, you will ensure that all documentation, methods, and materials are prepared and available for the site teams—enabling smooth execution and high-quality results.

Your Task

• Plan, monitor, and control your work package to meet project objectives.
• Ensure site teams have the correct documentation, methods, and materials to carry out works.
• Prepare method statements, drawings, risk assessments, lifting plans, and inspection/test plans for both permanent and temporary works.
• Coordinate with design teams to follow up on technical deliverables and align with on-site requirements.
• Assist in planning activities, working closely with the Planner and Technical Manager.
• Prepare material take-offs, requests for quotation, and purchase requests for subcontracts and materials.
• Support subcontractor and supplier coordination, from tendering and comparison to contract finalisation and follow-up.
• Track deliveries, invoicing, and approvals for permanent materials.
• Maintain technical records, lessons learned, and best practices to support continuous improvement.

Your Profile

• Master's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 2–5 years of experience with a construction contractor, preferably on large marine or civil infrastructure projects.
• Fluent in English; additional languages are an advantage.
• Willingness to work and live abroad as an expat in Africa.
• Proactive, analytical, and solution-driven mindset.
• Strong planning, organizational, and reporting skills, with attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively in dynamic, multicultural teams and adapt to changing conditions.
• Familiarity with risk management and ability to apply it to recurring project situations.
