Field Service Project Manager

The Field Service Project Manager (FSPM) is responsible for providing the guidance and structure required to support the execution of service work by field service technicians. The Cadence distribution business currently provides on-site sanitary services for valves and pumps while expanding capabilities for additional equipment, such as homogenizers, heat exchangers and other process equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and track training schedule for inside sales team, FSS and all Field Service Technicians.
- Maintain a field service technician/skills matrix to track capabilities of team members and address development areas.
- Contribute to the development of the field service team and coordinate with manufacturers supplied training resources to address weaknesses and expand knowledge of equipment.
- Manage the implementation of the technician's internal training programs.
Project Planning and Management:
- Provide input for proposal development such as estimated hours and expenses for service work.
- Work with FSS to perform project management services associated with service projects, such as: Project setup, Project forecasting, Invoice review/approval, etc.
- Ensure all material required for service work is ordered and scheduled to arrive in time for any site work.
- Coordinate with procurement team to adjust stocking levels to mitigate service risk by stocking critical, long lead parts for service projects.
- Manage the calendar and scheduling process for service execution with customers.
Field Service Execution:
- Work with FSS to help manage the schedule and assign field service team to tasks based on experience and skill level to ensure success.
- Provide guidance and support for field service team to ensure they have what they need to perform tasks and take care of customer needs.
- Work with FSS to ensure processes are followed and required documentation is completed during execution of services.
- Special attention should be paid to ensure the service team maximizes the moment of value during service execution to capitalize on incremental services and parts sales.
- Ensure trip reports are done for service work with sufficient quality and attention to detail.
- Ensure post project reports are completed in a timely manner for client review after all service work.

Education and Experience:
- Associate's degree, Bachelor's degree is a plus.
- Experience working with service technicians on capital equipment.
- Relevant sanitary process industry knowledge is a plus.
Travel:
- Periodic, regional travel to customer facilities may be required.
