This is an onsite position located in Spokane, Washington.

The customer service position is responsible for responding to customer requests and generating parts sales, understanding customers' needs and quickly and efficiently carrying out the steps required to satisfy those needs.

Essential duties and responsibilities include:

  • Have the ability to use issued Excel queries to review open orders and quotes.
  • Create customer orders, and/or create work orders for fabrication if required parts are not in stock.
  • Manage dashboard of open quotes and orders, perform follow-ups as required by the due dates.
  • Contact current and potential customers to grow prospects and sales.
  • Drives product sales by developing, identifying, and securing all relevant direct sales opportunities.
  • Generates market interest and closes sales by executing activities such as projects, surveys, campaigns, teaching, site visits and promotions.
  • Actively solicits product opportunities, referring leads as appropriate.
  • Provides telephone support to customers.
  • Engages in other sales-related duties as needed.
  • Must learn good working knowledge of Alliance equipment to troubleshoot customer needs and direct them to appropriate personnel if needed.
  • Any and all other duties assigned.

Education: High school diploma or equivalent

Experience and skills:

  • 5+ years of related experience.
  • Must have strong analytical skills.
  • Intermediate computer skills with experience in Windows based environment.
  • Proficiency with databases and MS Office, including Excel and Word, is required.
  • Proven ability to accurately work with detailed records while consistently meeting deadlines.

Personal attributes: Personable, ability to show empathy, demonstrate ability to work as part of a team in a demanding production environment, good communication skills.

Physical requirements: To successfully perform the essential functions of this job, an individual must be willing and able to:

  • Work occasional evenings and weekends to meet deadlines.
  • Sit at a desk or computer for extended periods of time.
  • Move about the office and factory with occasional lifting, bending, and reaching.
  • Dial, hear and respond to telephone calls and inquiries.
  • Communicate effectively (visually and verbally) with internal and external contacts.
  • Meet requirements of daily attendance on job for a full, continuous work schedule.

Compensation: $22-26/hour plus a structured sales incentive program.
