The Field Service Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing our centrifuge equipment at customer sites. The technician plays a critical role in ensuring the reliability and performance of our products, ultimately contributing to customer satisfaction and loyalty.

Education & Experience:

  • High school diploma with 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Associate degree or technical certificate in electro-mechanical technology (or similar), plus 3+ years of relevant experience

Required Aptitude/Skills:

  • Technical skills: Strong technical aptitude with experience in troubleshooting and repairing electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and control systems. Ability to read and interpret technical documents (e.g.- engineering drawings, manuals, BOMs, etc.).
  • Interpret diagrams, schematics, and service manuals to perform precise machinery setup, including rigging, positioning equipment, fitting bearings, aligning gears/shafts, and connecting motors, couplings, and belts; then test, align, and adjust equipment to required tolerances.
  • Conduct predictive and operational maintenance, including diagnosing issues, repairing or replacing defective parts, and pneumatic systems
  • Customer service skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with customers and colleagues.
  • Problem-solving abilities: Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues independently
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications such as Certified Electronics Technician (CET) are a plus

Preferred:

  • Associate degree or technical certificate in electro-mechanical technology (or similar), plus 3+ years of relevant experience
  • Millwright Certification
