The Field Service Engineer will be responsible for installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and technical support for Machine Solutions equipment at customer sites across India and Southeast Asia. The role requires a combination of technical expertise, customer service excellence, and strong communication skills to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and operational reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, test, and commission Machine Solutions equipment at customer sites, ensuring equipment performs to specification.
  • Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and software systems.
  • Provide timely and professional on-site and remote customer support.
  • Deliver customer training on equipment operation, safety, and maintenance.
  • Maintain detailed service documentation including installation reports, service logs, corrective action records, and expense reports.
  • Coordinate with the global Aftermarket Service and Engineering teams to ensure efficient resolution of customer issues.
  • Support Aftermarket Sales opportunities by identifying leads for service contracts, spare parts, and upgrades.
  • Ensure compliance with customer and company safety standards during all service activities.
  • Travel frequently within India and Southeast Asia (up to 75%).

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering.
  • Minimum 5 to 8 years of experience in installation, service, or maintenance of automated or precision equipment (preferably medical device, automation, or packaging machinery industries).
  • Hands-on experience with troubleshooting PLC-controlled systems and pneumatics.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently in customer environments.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to train and guide operators and maintenance teams.
  • Comfortable working in cleanroom or regulated manufacturing environments.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in supporting international customers or exposure to cross-cultural environments.
  • Familiarity with ERP/CRM systems for tracking service calls and documentation.
  • Willingness to travel across India and Southeast Asia for extended periods.

  • Requires physical mobility for installation and repair activities (lifting, bending, tool handling, etc.).
