Part-Time Direct Deposit Operations Specialist

Buyers Edge Platform is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Part-Time Direct Deposit Operations Specialist to manage and optimize all processes related to direct deposit funding through our third-party payment platforms. This role will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, timeliness, and compliance of employer direct deposit transactions, maintaining client and internal user records, and serving as the key point of contact for internal teams and third-party processors.

Back Office, a Buyers Edge Platform SaaS solution, dismantles siloed restaurant technology systems, offering Accounting & Bookkeeping, Payroll, Food Cost Management, and AP Automation as a unified tech stack. Developed by restaurant owners for restaurant owners, Back Office goes beyond traditional software; it's backed by industry experts who guide operators to make faster, more informed business decisions surrounding revenue, cost of goods, labor, and compliance. Through a combination of continued education and user-friendly software, independent, multi-location, franchise, and enterprise restaurant groups gain actionable insights into their performance, empowering them to make data-based operational decisions!

This position is based out of our Littleton, CO office and is budgeted for $25.00 - $27.00/hr for approximately 20 hours/week. We are unable to offer work sponsorship for this role.

Internal Systems Management

• Maintain up-to-date and accurate records of active clients and internal users on our third-party payment platforms.
• Manage and update client banking information securely, accurately, and efficiently.
• Ensure accurate daily processing of direct deposit files through Back Office payroll engine, including uploading to all third-party payment fulfillment partners.
• Maintain internal documentation related to all direct deposit activities, especially employer return notices.
• Investigate and resolve notices related to client issues, potential fraud and other root causes
• Communicate with clients on remediation tactics
• Initiate billing fees where appropriate

Client & Team Communication

• Act as the main liaison for all direct deposit and bill pay concerns within the internal team.
• Effectively communicate direct deposit error resolutions and edit requests to both clients and internal stakeholders.
• Submit daily transaction confirmations to the internal team post-processing.

About You

• 2+ years of experience in financial operations, payroll processing, or direct deposit management.
• Familiarity with Kotapay, ACH returns, and payroll funding platforms is highly preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and data accuracy.
• Exceptional organizational and communication skills.
• Experience with tools like Zendesk, MS Teams, and internal ticketing/billing systems.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate across multiple departments.
• Analytical mindset with problem-solving ability.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, compliance-driven environment.
