Support Services Director
Business Alliance HR is recruiting a Support Services Director for a Regional Telecom Company located in Erbil, Iraq.
Job Summary: The Support Services Division Director provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for all administrative, logistics, and support functions across the company and its regional sites. The position ensures that Administration, Warehousing, People Operations, NALD, Fleet, and Site Administration units deliver efficient, compliant, and cost-effective services to sustain the company's operations.
The Director works to institutionalize operational excellence, cost optimization, safety, and process standardization across all support service activities.
Reporting to: Chief Operating Officer (COO).
Contract Type: Permanent/ Full-time.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead the planning, budgeting, and performance management of all support service departments.
- Develop and implement divisional policies, SOPs, and operational guidelines in line with corporate governance and ISO standards.
- Drive process automation and digital transformation through ERP/Odoo systems to enhance efficiency and transparency.
- Align all divisional operations with the company's strategic objectives and COO directives.
- Prepare periodic management reports on performance, risks, and improvement initiatives.
Administration and Facilities
- Supervise Admin Managers and regional Admin Officers to ensure consistent application of policies and service delivery.
- Oversee facility maintenance, workplace safety, cleaning, hospitality, and asset management.
- Manage office leases, vendor contracts, and administrative budgets.
Warehousing and Logistics
- Oversee warehouse operations, stock management, and asset movement across all regions.
- Ensure material handling, storage, and distribution meet telecom project timelines and quality standards.
- Implement inventory controls and periodic audits in coordination with Finance and Procurement.
People Operations and NALD
- Supervise the Head of Admin & People Operations for employee services, attendance, travel, and HR support.
- Direct NALD Supervisor and creative team (Graphic Designer, Content Writer) to manage corporate internal communication and branding.
- Ensure compliance with HR, HSE, and company cultural policies.
Fleet and Site Administration
- Manage fleet allocation, driver performance, maintenance schedules, and cost control.
- Supervise Site Admin Managers and Assistants to provide on-site logistical and administrative support for technical and commercial teams.
- Monitor vehicle and equipment availability to support network deployment and field operations.
Governance and Compliance
- Ensure full adherence to internal DOA, procurement, and financial policies.
- Participate in risk assessments, internal audits, and compliance reviews.
- Represent the Division in management meetings, audits, and regulatory inspections as required.
Requirements
Required Skills & Competencies:
- Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to influence cross-functional teams and collaborate effectively with senior leadership.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in ERP systems (Odoo, Oracle, or SAP), MS Office, and project management tools.
Desired Requirements:
- Proficiency in Power BI and digital dashboards.
- Exposure to ISO 9001 / 27001 / 45001 standards.
Years of Experience:
10 years in operations management, HR, administration, logistics, or support operations. Experience in multi-site operations in telecom or infrastructure is a plus.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, or Engineering. A master's degree is a plus. Professional certifications such as PMP, CIPS, or Facility Management are highly preferred.
