We are seeking a Regional Sales Manager supporting Buckner Retirement Services. As a Regional Sales Manager, you will play an important role in all phases of sales and marketing that meets or exceeds Buckner quality, service, and hospitality standards. What you'll do:

  • Train, coach, lead, and develop Sales Directors and teams to achieve and exceed budgeted occupancy and revenue by community and within assigned portfolio across Buckner Retirement Services.
  • Drive occupancy growth by monitoring and achieving regional sales and occupancy goals.
  • Partner with VP of Sales and Marketing to develop and implement effective strategic marketing plans and sales strategies tailored to community markets while aligning with Buckner's mission and organizational objectives.
  • Partner closely with Executive Directors and community leadership teams to ensure alignment between sales efforts, operational goals, and resident experience.
  • Collaborate with Buckner's corporate marketing team to ensure consistent brand messaging and maximize impact of campaigns, events, and advertising.
  • Analyze market trends, competitive landscape, and local demographics to identify opportunities and risks.
  • Monitor sales activity and conversion metrics, offering guidance on pipeline development, prospect engagement, and closing strategies.
  • Conduct regular community visits across the assigned communities to evaluate sales processes, deliver training, and foster team engagement.
  • Provide hands-on coaching, mentoring, and accountability to hold community-based Sales Directors accountable to goals while strengthening performance and results.
  • Support Sales Director in the successful on-boarding of new Sales team members.
  • Facilitate professional development for Sales Directors through workshops, training sessions, and one-on-one coaching.
  • Partner cross-functionally with operations, clinical, and corporate leadership to support holistic community success.
  • Prepare and deliver sales reports, forecasts, and actionable recommendations to Buckner executive leadership.
  • Champion Buckner's faith-based mission by fostering a customer-first culture that emphasizes relationship-building, hospitality, and personalized experiences for prospective residents and families.
  • Accurately and on a timely basis complete all required reports.
  • Follow stated procedures in completing all required paperwork in a timely manner.
  • Inform appropriate staff of any sales-related questions or problems as they arise that could hinder the closing of a sale/admission.
  • Identify and proactively address any issues as they relate to objections in the marketplace about the concept and pricing.
  • Work with the Marketing/Sales department to help implement the marketing and public relations plans for Buckner Retirement Services and its affiliates and subsidiaries.
  • Address outside groups and conduct outside presentations with community, civic, church, and service organizations.
  • Verify accuracy and approve monthly commissions in a timely manner for Sales Team.
  • Work evenings and weekends for marketing and sales events as required.
  • Visit all competitive communities and be familiar with each of their programs.
  • Review daily census, work with the team to implement plans to attain budgeted census for the communities of Buckner Retirement Services and its affiliates and subsidiaries.
  • Work with and understand the Sales Department budget, as required to complete the functions of the role.
  • Maintain compliance with all Buckner policies, procedures, and requirements. Maintain compliance with all federal and state laws. Maintain compliance with all agency regulatory guidelines and requirements.
  • Attend staff meetings as required.
  • Responsible for supporting and representing Buckner Retirement Services and its affiliates and subsidiaries at special events, activities, and other assigned functions.
  • Work successfully as a part of a team and responsible for developing and maintaining strong working relationships with co-workers.
  • Travel as required to monitor, assess, and help develop programs.
  • Perform general office tasks as required. Perform special assignments, projects, and other duties as required.
  • Requires ability to use up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently and/or 5 pounds continuously to move objects.
  • Requires sufficient good health to properly discharge duties. Employees shall not be permitted to work for those who have infectious disease or skin lesion for the duration of communicability.
  • Requires ability to drive assigned vehicle(s) or personal vehicle, with appropriate state license, following all laws applicable; must provide proof of liability insurance and must be eligible to be insured under Buckner's insurance policy. Must be age 21 or older to drive on behalf of Buckner.

What you'll bring:

  • Associate degree in communications, marketing, sales, or other related field of study required.
  • A minimum of five years of prior related experience, including at least one year of experience in a multi-community/regional sales manager role within senior living sales. Demonstrated ability to sell and market, including training, coaching, and leading others to achieve sales, in the senior housing industry. Experience with CCRC sales preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience with people first selling techniques, marketing and event strategy, and effective use of sales CRM required. Experience with Enquire preferred.
  • Ability to lead with empathy and relate to senior adults, their families, and other community leadership.
  • Requires job holder to work nights and weekends as needed to meet business needs. Position also requires travel 75% or more of the time to meet community needs.
  • Requires proficient ability to speak, read, and write English professionally.
  • Requires a strong sense of diplomacy and demonstrated success in developing strong collaborative relationships with organizational peers and outside colleagues. Requires ability to relate positively, influentially, and sensitively to a broad spectrum of people in a variety of multi-tiered relationships and settings.
  • Requires recognized ability to meet multiple deadlines by maintaining a high level of organization.
  • Requires demonstrated strong analytical skills, including an ability to synthesize large amounts of information and to focus quickly on the essence of an issue; strong commitment to producing measurable results.
  • Requires ability to function in a fast-paced, high volume, multi-faceted, results-oriented work environment and to analyze issues, identify priorities, manage projects, and make decisions expeditiously.
  • Requires proficient problem-solving skills and maintain confidentiality.
  • Requires proficient ability to exhibit detail-oriented skills necessary to understand and manage a wide range of information.
  • Proficient working knowledge and ability to accurately and timely operate and perform computer-related tasks with specific equipment and software applications, including, but not limited to, Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook, required.
  • Requires professional commitment to Christian principles and teachings to perform tasks and responsibilities in alignment with Buckner's missions, vision, and values.
  • Requires ability to speak clearly and make oneself understood in face-to-face interactions; to articulate with extreme accuracy and precision to give directions by phone, etc.
  • Requires ability to effectively work under pressure and remain flexible as priorities change; ability to effectively communicate in writing and verbally including speaking in front of groups.
  • Requires ability to work under minimal supervision, exercise sound judgment, and confidentiality.
