Position Location: Aliso Viejo, CA

As the Validation Engineer II, you will:

1. Perform validation for infotainment/telematic products by utilizing test benches and vehicles
2. Responsible for executing basic Sanity, customer found issues, updated specification from customer and full test cases
3. Analyze test results to determine if product meet specifications
4. Create/maintain test cases per product specifications
5. Utilize tracking system to report and track product defects
6. Test bench setup / SW updates
7. Field Test / Joint field test with OEM
8. OEM Support (frequent visiting, fixing damaged OEM's HU by update tools, SW status drive)
9. Maintain relationships with overseas counterparts to effectively share information and resolve issues
10. Support to resolve technical issues
11. Support and communicate with R&D team, not only in North America but other regions such as Korea
12. Responsible for reporting validation results to validation manager
13. Responsible for arranging test vehicle usage with the customer for internal validation activities
14. Responsible for managing project validation assignments and schedules with project leads
15. Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or equivalent
• 2+ years automotive validation experience
• Ability to travel (Domestic & International)
• Ability to sit in/drive test vehicle for up to 3 hours at a time for testing

Knowledge of:

• Test bench and vehicle setup
• In-car infotainment systems technologies
• Specifications and ability to analyze test results
• Process on how to create test cases with the appropriate test case structure
• How to interface with the bug tracking system
• Vehicle communication protocols
• Vehicle development process

Ability to:

• Lift/Setup benches weighing up to 30lbs
• Sit in/drive test vehicle for up to 3 hours at a time for testing
• Learn and adapt to new software and hardware tools and technologies
• Work across multiple disciplines (systems, embedded, server, wireless carriers, testing)
• Recognize and mitigate both technical and organizational challenges
• Travel up to 30%
• Desire to learn constantly and dive into new areas with unfamiliar technologies
• Strong commitment to quality and attention to detail
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
