BSC is seeking an experienced Director of Environmental Engineering to join our team.

The Director of Environmental Engineering will bring strategic insight, technical depth, and cultural stewardship to a growing team. Success in this role is not just about doing excellent work – it's about developing the people that deliver it. You will be responsible for expanding licensure pathways, fostering interdisciplinary integration, and ensuring that Environmental Engineering continues to evolve as a trusted and adaptive service.

Core responsibilities are:

• Lead and mentor a high-performing team of environmental engineers, fostering growth pathways for licensure, leadership, and specialization
• Guide the planning, design and delivery of environmental engineering services, ensuring technical excellence, regulatory compliance, and contextual alignment across projects
• Support team members in achieving project success through structured coaching, peer review, and light-touch oversight
• Develop and implement long-term strategic goals that align with an interdisciplinary, decentralized approach
• Promote innovation both in project delivery and in how the team collaborates and grows together

Job requirements include:

• B.S. in Civil, Environmental Engineering, or related discipline
• PSP/LSP required; LEP preferred
• 10+ years of environmental consulting experience with at least 3-5 years in formal or informal leadership roles
• Proven ability to coach or mentor emerging professionals
• Experience navigating both private and public sector client projects
• Strong communication across disciplines and personality types
• Ability to scope integrated, interdisciplinary project approaches
