The Health Services Director of Finance provides financial guidance and insights to inform business decisions, optimize financial performance, and ensure the efficient utilization of resources across our Outpatient Services and facilities. Drives sustainable growth and serves as a key executive team member of the Ardent Health Services Group.
Develops and implements financial strategies aligned with the organization's overall business objectives, long-term goals, and mission.
Collaborates with Health Services Leadership to identify growth opportunities, potential risks, and areas for financial improvement.
Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Provides insightful financial analysis and performance metrics to guide decision-making and inform business strategies.
Leads the budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring the alignment of financial plans with organizational priorities for this business segment. Monitors and analyzes budget variances and initiates corrective actions as needed.
Ensures the implementation of robust financial controls and best practices to safeguard the organization's assets. Optimizes revenue cycle management and financial operations to enhance cash flow and efficiency.
Evaluate investment opportunities and provide financial analyses to support capital allocation decisions. Works closely with the Health Services Leadership and other stakeholders to evaluate and prioritize investments in facilities, technology, and other strategic initiatives.
Identifies and mitigates financial risks through risk assessment and mitigation strategies. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and reporting standards.
Provides leadership and mentorship to the finance team, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and professional growth. Collaborates with finance leaders across the organization to drive consistent financial practices.
Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field
10+ years or more of progressive experience in finance or accounting
5+ years or more in a leadership role
Master's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field, preferred.
Extensive experience in the healthcare industry or a similar complex, multi-site environment, preferred.
