Since March 2024, Chemspeed Technologies has been part of the Bruker Corporation and works closely with the Bruker BioSpin business unit. Their mission is to drive the innovations and sustainability of tomorrow through gamification, digitalization, and automation of research and development. The technology is applied in a wide range of chemical research fields and quality controls. The solutions accelerate the research and development of the future, such as new medicines or materials used in batteries, photovoltaics, and cosmetics.

We are looking for a dynamic and self-reliant Automation Engineer for our engineering team in Füllinsdorf.

Responsibilities

• Commissioning of our systems by calibration and programming of robots, devices, and tools with our own automation software
• Preparation and execution of acceptance tests
• Application tests of newly developed prototypes
• Development and optimization of existing devices through new ideas, participation during the commissioning of systems at our customers' sites, and further support during the productive operation
• Independently solving problems and technical malfunctions
• Contributing innovative ideas to the development of new products and solutions, both in software and hardware
• Updating the user documentation based on the experiences collected by the team
• Supporting marketing and sales activities (e.g., videos, images, demos)

Qualifications

• Completed apprenticeship as an electrician with a higher education or a university of applied sciences degree in system technology, mechatronics, life sciences, or a comparable field
• Strong flair for technology and technical skills
• Basic knowledge of a programming language
• Good German and English language skills in speech and writing
• Increased willingness to travel
• Preferably practical experience in development, handling chemicals, and/or experimental methods
• High sense of responsibility and quality awareness as well as enthusiasm
• Strong independence, drive, initiative, and team capability
