Bruker is recruiting for an experienced Human Resources Director (HRD), APAC. Bruker's APAC region spans a wide geographic area, covering 11 countries and managing a headcount of more than 1,500. Business complexity, challenges, and talent landscapes vary significantly across the region, and HRD APAC will be responsible for implementing and executing the organization's HR initiatives and key projects across the Asia Pacific.

This incumbent should possess strong leadership capabilities and a desire to organize and effectively and efficiently manage a strong HR team that is often not co-located with their manager. With the multiple business units and truly global geographical coverage, as well as the Center of Excellence model, this is a highly complex matrix structure, so a key element to success in the role is the ability to navigate through the correct channels, build relationships, influence, be adaptable, and have the confidence to drive things through. Strong written and verbal English is a must.

Responsibilities

Key Relationships

Reports to: Corporate Vice President – Human Resources; based outside Boston, MA USA

Direct reports: 8 Direct Reports and 2 Indirect Reports

Other key relationships: Country/Regional and Global Business Management teams, Global and Corporate HR teams

Major Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the HR/Business leaders of the various Divisions to ensure seamless implementation of the respective Divisional People Plans. A key priority will be to ensure consistency of delivery as far as possible while acknowledging differences of the Division where appropriate.
  • Ensure APAC country differences are taken into consideration in all global HR priorities from Corporate HR and Business HR; lead such initiatives in APAC region
  • Engage and influence global and regional business leaders of various Divisions on people decisions in their APAC teams in compliance with global guidelines and local legislation; with active participation in regional business reviews and meetings on management level
  • Partner with Corporate and business HR on M&A due diligence, post-merger integration and re-organization to lead and execute in the region
  • Work across multiple divisional/functional leadership structures to ensure country and regional HR needs are met and exceeded
  • Lead the local HR Business partners to deliver Corporate and Divisional people strategies in partnership with direct and indirect reports including HR Service Delivery, Total Rewards, HRIT and Talent Acquisition
  • Drive regional HR projects for continuous improvement,
  • Provide guidance to local HRBPs on complex HR issues
  • Use country and HR insight to enable feedback and influence change initiatives at a strategic level
  • Identify and disseminate HR best practices & in line with local legislation

Qualifications

Ideal Experience

More than 10 years of related HR experience in an APAC regional leadership role.

Life Sciences/Healthcare/Medical Devices industry experience is preferred.
