Determine the PPAP level for the introduction of new components
Assign the responsible SQE in the SAP system.
Validate and disposition PPAPs.
Validate P3 or PPAP runs at suppliers.
Functional validation of components.
Lead interim or rejected PPAPs with the BRP cross-functional team and suppliers.
Keep the PPAP status updated in the SAP system to provide visibility for the organization.
Create inspection plans for components.
Release PPAP batches.
Define and implement Early Production Containment (GP12).
Communicate the various findings (PPF) to suppliers and the SQD team and validate the conditions on PPAP parts.
Validate drawings and their critical characteristics.
Post-Production Supplier Quality Support
Provide a daily assessment (risk analysis) of the area in terms of product and process quality.
Update and provide daily quality metrics and information on component quality issues.
Active role and support in problem definition, measurement, and analysis activities at BRP.
Send official customer complaint notifications (CCNs) to suppliers and involve the various support departments (planning, purchasing, SQD, etc.).
Send and communicate information and samples to suppliers.
Require suppliers to provide corrective actions (SCARs) and close them.
Evaluate and penalize quality metrics (SRSs) for suppliers.
Validate and manage ECNs and deviations (product and/or process).
Implement containment actions for suppliers (Certifications, CS1, CS2, CS3).
RMA requirements for the disposal of non-conforming materials.
Generation of credit notes for the disposal of non-conforming materials.
Coordination with suppliers and internal suppliers for sorting and rework activities for non-conforming materials.
Audit supplier systems, processes, and corrective actions.
Determine the quality plan for supplier transfers.
Evaluate the effectiveness of supplier corrective actions.
Require and establish action plans with suppliers to improve quality metrics.
Ensure compliance with the QMS (Quality Management System).
Lead HIS (High Impact Supplier) improvement plans.
Comply with all policies, procedures, and codes of ethics.
Any other duties or responsibilities assigned by the department supervisor.
Participate in compliance with the QMS (Quality Management System) determined for their role in relation to ISO 9001:2015.
Comply with safety rules determined by their role.
Complete planned Quality and Training training on time.
Identify and report any quality and compliance issues and support corrective actions.
Skills and Certifications
Ability to analyze risk, pros, and cons of raw material situations, and find and present the best options to reach agreements that benefit BRP and suppliers.
Ability to work independently and based on the objectives set by the department and the organization.
General Quality Knowledge
Experience using Basic Quality Tools
Experience in problem-solving methodologies
Experience with Core Tools (APQP, PFMEA, Control Plan, SPC, MSA, PPAP)
Experience in system, product, process, and supplier audits
Experience in PPAP development and approval
Experience with Minitab for statistical analysis
Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015
Experience evaluating procedures, work instructions, visual aids, forms, and records
Experience in SQE processes
Experience in supplier management and communication
Preparation of non-conforming material reports (NCR)
Evaluation and validation of Supplier Corrective Action Plans (SCAR)
PPAP evaluation and approval
Experience in supplier improvement
Experience in various automotive manufacturing processes (stamping, plastic injection, electronics, etc.)
Audit of supplier systems and processes
Experience in drawing evaluation and approval
Management of non-conforming quarantined material (MRB)
Experience and knowledge in drawing interpretation (GD&T)
Bilingual (English/Spanish)
Competent computer skills in Microsoft and SAP software
Availability to travel (domestic and international)
