The Senior Asia Marketing Coordinator, based in Tokyo, will support strategic marketing and sales enablement initiatives for specific Investor Services products, services, and segments for our Tokyo, Hong Kong, and Beijing offices. This role reports to the senior Relationship Manager locally and the Head of Marketing for Asia and Europe in London.
Working closely with the Marketing Managers, Asia Relationship Management, and Sales teams, this individual will help plan and execute a consistently high level of internal and external marketing, sales support, and communications.
The individual will support the Marketing Managers to execute a targeted, insight-led marketing strategy and budget for our Asia markets, together with key business stakeholders, and monitor and adjust as appropriate throughout the year. They will help localise internal and external messaging and talking points to arm client facing individuals in the Asia based offices.
This individual will create and help enhance sales/marketing collateral and tools for Sales, Relationship Managers, and Product teams to educate clients and prospects on our capabilities. They will work together with the business teams to complete competitive analyses of products, services, collateral, & websites.
The role will support any new product launches for Asia markets coordinating with local and global product experts and the relevant Marketing Managers in Europe and the US to identify message points that resonate in Asia.
The individual will identify relevant industry or product-specific conferences and design high-quality events (such as roundtables, webinars, hospitality events) that will serve as key channels for our spokespeople and messages, working closely with the Marketing Managers and Global Conferences and Events Manager and local Enterprise Services teams.
With support from Marketing Managers, they will help localise our content/thought leadership program leveraging the centralized content/thought leadership discipline. They will help provide copy for the web/Marketo publishing forms and Creative Services requests.
The individual will work with the Head of Social Media to promote our brand and raise our content through established social media channels (primarily LinkedIn) and help with localization and translation for Asia markets. They will be a liaison point for the local PR strategy in Tokyo, Hong Kong, and Beijing, working closely with our Global PR Manager and local PR agency, coordinating translation where required.
The individual will participate, together with the local Relationship Managers and the global Marketing Managers, in pitch and deal teams for key client and prospects in Asia, assisting the group with our story/how we set BBH apart from the competition and clearly communicate client benefits, as well as creating materials/videos to support the pitch.
They will coordinate directly with other Marketing Managers, subject matter experts, Sales, and Product contacts in the development of customized and localized sales collateral, including managing any translation required. They will provide ongoing maintenance of sales presentations and other marketing collateral such as brochures, product sheets, etc., and ensure they are updated on Seismic and translated where required.
They will help create case studies on our client successes to use as sales tools.
The individual will work with Global Marketing core areas and local Compliance to ensure a coordinated approach to approval of all external marketing and sales materials.
A minimum of 3 years' experience in a marketing role is an essential requirement, with a proven track record of supporting multi-channel marketing programs. Foundational knowledge of the financial services industry is also a requirement. Experience in the global asset management and/or asset servicing industry and/or institutional banking would be a strong advantage. Experience of working within global and matrixed team structures is also important.
Oral and written fluency in Japanese and English is required; a good knowledge of Mandarin and Cantonese would be a strong advantage. They should be a self-starter with a proactive approach and strong sense of accountability for projects undertaken. Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple deliverables with tight deadlines are required. They should be able to build strong and sustainable relationships with key stakeholders to drive consensus and outcomes, and to thrive in a highly collaborative, global team.
Highly effective service and relationship management skills and the ability to collaborate with all levels of the organization are required. Exceptional written and oral communication skills with strong presentation skills are required. They should be detail-oriented with proven ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage own workload and troubleshoot problems. Strong Microsoft Office skills required, particularly in PowerPoint. Knowledge of Salesforce, Seismic, Marketo, and monday.com (or comparable work management platforms) would be an advantage.
