Broadcom's GTO team is seeking a high-energy, technically proficient Staff AI Development Engineer to serve as a critical bridge between our cutting-edge AI initiatives and our core business units. This is a "two worlds" role for an expert who marries deep Generative AI knowledge (agents, vectorization, RAG) with seasoned fullstack development experience. In this role, you will not just build features; you will architect the next generation of agentic pipelines to ensure our technology stack evolves alongside the industry's rapid AI shift. You will be tasked with upleveling the existing engineering team, proposing fluid architectural pathways, and delivering production-grade AI solutions that support both our hardware and software divisions.
Education: Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
Experience: Minimum of 8 years in Software Engineering, with a proven track record of building and scaling Generative AI applications.
Technical Proficiency: AI Orchestration: Expert-level mastery of LangGraph, LangChain, or similar agentic frameworks. Programming: Mastery of Python and a strong foundation in modern fullstack languages (e.g., JavaScript/TypeScript, Go, or Java). Data & Infrastructure: Deep understanding of Vector Databases (Pinecone, Weaviate, Milvus) and container orchestration via Kubernetes. Development Rigor: Expert in CI/CD, version control (GitHub), and Test-Driven Development (TDD) adapted for AI. Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead technical squads, influence architectural roadmaps, and drive adoption of new technologies across a diverse organization.
Preferred Skills Experience building RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) systems for large-scale technical documentation. Familiarity with the challenges of deploying AI agents within highly secure enterprise environments. Ability to balance "bleeding edge" AI experimentation with the stability required for production-grade IT infrastructure
The annual base salary range for this position is $98,100 - $157,000.
