Co-Op Engineer Position

Position Timeframe: January 2026-July 2026

Spring Co-op Locations: Warren County, Tennessee Wilson, North Carolina

Responsibilities

Industrial Engineering co-ops typically:

• Work on problems of limited scope and contributes on projects or processes while receiving detailed instructions from higher level professionals
• Establish methods of maximum utilization of production facilities and personnel
• Conduct cost/inventory/production control and human factors studies to develop and implement plans for facility modifications and revisions to operating methods
• Assist manufacturing plant/facilities engineers with facility planning and design
• Optimize the interconnected components of a manufacturing system (e.g., personnel workflow/ergonomics, materials logistics, production process sequence, and equipment layouts, etc.).

You will also get to:

• Apply interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with fellow teammates and achieve common goals
• Work in a hands-on environment with cross functional teams
• Utilize project management skills to develop, manage, and control scope, schedule and cost

• Demonstrated technical aptitude in major of study
• Excellent communication and presentation skills

Minimum Qualifications

To thrive in this role, you need…

• To be pursuing a degree in Industrial Engineering or another applicable major and actively enrolled in the degree program at an accredited university
• To be sophomore-senior level standing with a GPA of at least 3.0
• Completed course work in Computer Aided Design (CAD)/AutoCAD
• To be available to work 40 hours weekly in a 6-month minimum co-op assignment
• No other work experience is required. We will teach you everything you need to know!
