Bus Tire Service Team Leader

Make a difference every day by keeping buses safe, reliable, and on the road. We're looking for a hands on leader who thrives in a fast paced environment and enjoys both managing people and rolling up their sleeves to get the job done. As a Bus Tire Service Team Leader, you'll oversee our tire maintenance and service program for transit bus vehicles, guide a team of service technicians, and partner closely with transit personnel. This role is ideal for someone who likes variety—balancing leadership, administrative tasks, and hands on tire service. You'll be based at bus transit locations and need to remain flexible as this shift works early morning to support fleet operations when they need it most.

This position requires a valid driver's license and CDL. Training for CDL will be provided by the Company.

Pay Range: $28.08 - $48.48

What You'll Do

Lead & Support a Team

  • Supervise and mentor teammates at transit locations.
  • Set clear expectations, provide feedback, and ensure safe, high-quality work.
  • Recognize and share outstanding performance with management.
  • Communicate any attendance or performance issues to your Field Manager.
  • Ensure compliance with contract requirements and safety standards.
  • Build strong working relationships with both Bridgestone leadership and transit personnel.

Hands-On Tire Service

  • Mount, balance, and repair bus tires.
  • Occasionally assist with nearby customer service needs.
  • Load and unload tires and equipment as needed.
  • Keep tools, equipment, and vehicles in top shape and maintain a clean work area.
  • Complete inspections, reports, and paperwork on time.

Workplace Expectations

  • Follow all safety protocols and wear required PPE.
  • Attend regular team and Field Manager meetings.
  • Adapt to weather extremes (hot summers, cold winters) and handle physical demands (lifting 50+ lbs, pushing/pulling heavy tires, bending, twisting).

Why You'll Love This Role

  • Leadership with impact: Guide a team whose work keeps buses moving safely every day.
  • Growth opportunities: Learn the ins and outs of fleet tire service and develop management skills.
  • Team environment: Be part of a supportive group that values safety, hard work, and doing the job right.

Our Crew Knows Benefits

  • Medical, dental and vision – starting day 1 for all teammates
  • Paid vacation and holidays
  • On-the-job training
  • 401k match
  • On demand pay (daily pay) program available
