Bridges Healthcare, Inc. has an immediate opening for a School Based Clinician. This position will be designated to West Haven High School, West Haven, CT. Full-time/35 hour work week. $55,500 - $71,826 per year, commensurate with experience. Benefits for the position include:

Purpose and Position Overview for School Based Services Clinician:

Provide school-based psychotherapy and case management to children and families experiencing behavioral health issues.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide clinical assessment, diagnosis and traditional treatment and evidence based treatment to children/adolescents and their families.
  • Provide individual, parenting, family and group modalities of treatment as needed.
  • Provide case management services as needed.
  • Maintain client documentation in electronic health records as required.
  • Facilitate evidence based treatment groups in school setting
  • Facilitate parent support groups
  • Establish and maintain working relationships with school personnel
  • Perform any other department or agency-related duties or special projects as directed by supervisor.

Qualifications and Competencies:

  • Masters degree in behavioral health field required.
  • Associate license required, Full license preferred.
  • Ability to work flexible schedule, with early mornings and some evenings required
  • Knowledge of child development and psychiatric disorders.
  • Experience with evidence based practices (TFCBT, MATCH, ARC, DBT -adolescent) preferred
  • Experience working in a school setting preferred
  • Good communication and documentation skills.
  • Computer literacy.
  • Experience in counseling/therapeutic methods/practices with children and families.
  • Sensitivity to diverse cultures and language competencies.
  • Ability to prioritize and organize schedules/demands.
  • CBITS training prior to hire preferred; CBITS training required upon hire
  • Access to reliable transportation on a consistent basis.
