Korea, Breville has been distributed for several years, mainly in key market places (Naver, SSG, Coupang etc), and department stores focused on Espresso Machines. With its ambition to grow as the leading Premium Kitchen Appliance brand across diverse categories, Breville is expanding into Korea as the 11th country to go Direct-To-Market. We have the ambition to become the leader in the category within the next 5 years.

To lead the transition of Breville Korea's retail operations from distributor-led to direct-to-market, by establishing and managing premium retail touchpoints. This includes negotiating and opening new stores in key department stores, shopping malls, and potential flagship locations, while building strong relationships with retail partners and overseeing daily store operations to deliver a consistent, customer-centric brand experience.

Key Responsibilities Include:

Retail Expansion & Store Development

  • Lead the planning and execution of new store openings in strategic retail locations.
  • Negotiate with department stores, shopping malls, and other retail partners.
  • Build and develop new and existing business relationships to identify opportunities for driving sales.
  • Identify and secure potential flagship store opportunities.
  • On-going negotiations for annual store open/close planning

Store/Retail Operation

  • Key Store KPIs
  • Oversee day-to-day operations of Breville retail stores.
  • Ensure consistent execution of brand standards across all locations.
  • Monitor store performance and implement operational improvements.
  • Ensure any escalated issues within stores resolved in a timely and effective manner (e.g., maintenance, cleaning, OH&S)
  • Performs sales administration tasks to support and manage the operational and commercial performance of each assigned retail store.
  • Promotion negotiation for sales target achievement.

Customer Experience & Service Excellence

  • Drive customer-centric service culture across all stores.
  • Implement training programs to enhance staff product knowledge and service quality.
  • Develop and implement a biannual action plan for Retail Brand Ambassadors based on insights from the Mystery Shopper evaluation.
  • Monitor and improve customer satisfaction metrics.

Store P&L Management

  • Analyze sales data and KPIs to identify growth opportunities.
  • Track daily KPIs (Transaction / basketsize / sales) vs. other stores & competitors.
  • Guide and coach Store Managers to review and analyse monthly P&L, by identifying sales opportunity and manage expenses.
  • Work closely with marketing and merchandising teams to support promotional activities.
  • Develop and manage retail budgets and forecasts.

Inventory Management

  • Guide and monitor store Managers to manage inventory in a cost effective manner.
  • Educate Store Managers on preventing stock loss.
  • Oversee store stocktakes to ensure they are conducted in a timely and effective manner.

Store display & VMD

  • Execute product display and VM based on global target.
  • Strong branding (visibility) based on Breville's brand guide.

Additional Responsibilities (for the designated reporting manager only)

  • In addition to own account responsibility, consolidates channel-wide sales results and reports to Senior Manager.
  • Responsible for consolidating and analyzing sales data across all department store accounts.
  • Prepare and deliver regular performance reports (monthly/quarterly/annual) with insights to support Senior Manager's decision-making.
  • Identify sales trends, assess promotional effectiveness, and provide recommendations.
  • Ensure accuracy and consistency of data by coordinating with fellow account managers.
