Perioperative Services Manager
Serves as the primary resource for registries, accreditation, and data analytics across the perioperative continuum (pre-, intra-, and post-operative). Partners with medical directors and perioperative leaders to monitor key performance metrics and sustain accreditation readiness. Oversees quality standards, documentation, policies and procedures, and program certification. Uses analytics to drive performance improvement and facilitates collaboration among nursing, surgical services, anesthesia, and interdisciplinary teams to advance patient safety and outcomes.
Minimum Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
- Current Montana Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS).
- Three (3) years perioperative or acute care nursing experience.
- Advanced knowledge and experience supporting DNV-GL accreditation.
- Advanced knowledge and experience applying data analytics to monitor quality metrics and outcomes.
Preferred
- Master's Degree in a healthcare related field
Essential Job Functions

- Assists leaders with broad operations to ensure comprehensive perioperative program services that comply with regulatory agencies and hospital requirements.
- Partners with medical directors and perioperative leadership to ensure a collaborative approach to care design and the development, implementation, and maintenance of policies and procedures aligned to the organization's mission.
- Coordinates accreditation, registries, and program certification activities for Perioperative Services; sustains survey readiness.
- Collects, validates, and analyzes perioperative quality data across pre-, intra-, and post-operative phases; develops dashboards and reports that monitor Patient Safety Indicators (e.g., surgical site infection, respiratory failure, venous thromboembolism) and other key metrics.
- Identifies trends, gaps, and variation; leads and/or supports root-cause analyses and action plans to improve outcomes, patient safety, and care reliability.
- Drives performance improvement initiatives and provides education/coaching for nursing and interprofessional teams on evidence-based perioperative practices and documentation standards.
- Facilitates interdisciplinary collaboration (e.g., surgery, anesthesia, sterile processing, pharmacy, infection prevention, quality, informatics) to implement, evaluate, and hardwire process changes.
- Monitors effectiveness of interventions over time; refines strategies based on outcomes data and shares learnings to scale successful practices.
- Prepares and presents clear, actionable reports for perioperative leadership, quality committees, and other stakeholders; communicates findings and recommendations.
- Leads, teaches, inspires, and consistently demonstrates organizational behavioral standards; mentors staff and promotes a professional practice environment.

Schedule Requirements
- This role requires regular and sustained attendance.
- The position may necessitate working beyond a standard 40-hour workweek, including weekends and after-hours shifts.
- On-call work may be required to respond promptly to organizational, patient, or employee needs.
