HRIS Specialist
The HRIS Specialist provides first-level application and operational support for HR systems. This role troubleshoots system issues, assists with configuration testing, ensures data accuracy, and supports HR processes across the organization.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Provides first-level application and operational support for HR systems, including troubleshooting, identifying problems, and resolving user issues.
- Researches and resolves process flaws, unexpected results, or data discrepancies.
- Serves as a liaison to managers and district leaders regarding HRIS questions and correct submission of personnel changes.
- Supports testing and validation for configuration changes, upgrades, module implementations, and integrations.
- Assists in system projects and new software implementation activities.
- Identifies training needs and develops training materials for end users.
- Conducts training sessions on HR system processes (e.g., background check process, data submission procedures).
- Evaluates and processes paperwork from centers, including new hire documentation, performance reviews, and personnel changes.
- Ensures compliance with organizational standards and applicable state/federal regulations.
- Works closely with Payroll to ensure accurate and timely processing.
- Supports unemployment claim documentation and communications with third-party vendors.
- Generates routine reports based on requests from HR and management.
