Automation Support Analyst (Open)

Responsible for designing and structuring the appropriate flow of complex computer systems requiring considerable independent judgment. Position involves no programming responsibility.

Core Duties and Responsibilities Automation & Engineering

  • Design, develop, and implement desktop and intelligent automation solutions using tools such as Power Automate, AI Builder, RPA, and Python.
  • Lead application and data automation efforts to streamline workflows and improve operational efficiency.
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts and bots for repetitive tasks across university systems.
  • Serve as a technical expert in automation frameworks, scripting, and integration protocols (REST, SOAP).

AI & Intelligent Automation Initiatives

  • Collaborate with academic and administrative departments to identify opportunities for AI and machine learning integration.
  • Implement AI-driven solutions to enhance decision-making, data processing, and user experience.
  • Evaluate and integrate emerging technologies to support digital transformation goals.

Post-Go-Live Transition & Support

  • Act as the primary liaison between project teams and operational support units.
  • Ensure smooth handoff of projects from development to production environments.
  • Provide documentation, training, and ongoing support for automated solutions.

Application & User Support

  • Provide Tier 2/3 support for enterprise and niche applications, ensuring high availability and performance.
  • Collaborate with IT and business units to troubleshoot issues and implement enhancements.
  • Maintain compliance with data governance, security, and integration standards.

Minimum Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: o Minimum 4 years of experience in automation engineering, systems integration, or related technical roles. o Proven experience with desktop automation, AI/ML tools, and enterprise application support. o Familiarity with Microsoft Power Platform, scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell), and middleware integration tools. o Experience working on advanced technology projects with a strong engineering focus.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in higher education or public sector IT environments.
  • Knowledge of student information systems (e.g., PeopleSoft) and learning management systems (e.g., Blackboard).
  • Exposure to cloud platforms (e.g., Microsoft Azure) and data analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, SQL Server)
