We are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to take on the critical role of leading the design and maintenance of the operating environment that serves as the backbone of our organization's z-platform computing capabilities. This position is integral to ensuring that our technology infrastructure remains robust, stable, and powerful enough to meet the evolving needs of our Firm.

This is a remote role based in Canada.

Information Security Responsibilities

Promote and enforce awareness of key information security practices, including acceptable use of information assets, malware protection, and password security protocols.

Identify, assess, and report security risks, focusing on how these risks impact the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information assets.

Understand and evaluate how data is stored, processed, or transmitted, ensuring compliance with data privacy and protection standards (GDPR, CCPA, etc.)

Ensure data protection measures are integrated throughout the information lifecycle to safeguard sensitive information.

Requirements:

10 years of relevant experience

Expertise in z/OS internals

Self-motivated and able to work autonomously

Strong knowledge in Catalog management

Excellent troubleshooting skills

Ability to work under pressure, such as during a production system outage

Strong skills in USS/OMVS

Experience with z/OS and ISV software installations

Proficiency in testing, including designing tests to validate software functionality, robustness, and performance

Knowledge of HCD/Hardware

Experience with REXX

Ability to provide weekend support and participate in on-call rotations

Nice to Have:

Familiarity with zOSMF, REST APIs, Kafka, LinuxOne, Ansible, Python, and other new zOS technologies is a plus

Assembler skills for usermods maintenance and dump reading are desirable but not mandatory
