 
                                                
                                            Position Description: Under the direction of the Disability & Access Services (DAS) Director, the Student Services Coordinator coordinates and determines appropriate accommodation and auxiliary aids and services for students with disabilities. The coordinator works directly with students, faculty, and staff to facilitate an interactive process and implement approved accommodations, maintaining compliance with Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), and the ADA Amendments Act (ADAA). This position also supports the departments assistive technology and universal design initiatives by helping assess, maintain, and promote accessible tools and resources used by students, faculty, and staff. The coordinator must maintain confidentiality, keep accurate and up-to-date records in accordance with FERPA and DAS policy, and collaborate closely with other team members on outreach, technology, and training efforts. Please note, this is an in-person position.
Essential Functions: 55%
Required Skills: B.A./B.S. required, M.A. preferred. One to three years of related higher education experience (three to five years preferred). Also prefer candidates who have academic concentrations in education, psychology, counseling or special education. Experience working with students with disabilities is a strong preference as is interpreting psychometric test reports and other assessments.
