The Venous Access Team is currently seeking an experienced candidate with a strong interest in further developing their expertise in vascular access. This role utilizes the nursing process as the foundation for practice as a professional registered nurse, providing direct nursing care to patients and families. As a key resource across the medical center, responsibilities include:

  • Placement and care of various venous access devices
  • Advising on the most appropriate vascular access options
  • Managing devices such as temporary lines, PICC lines, tunneled catheters, and indwelling chest ports
  • Conducting comprehensive assessments of patients' clinical profiles to recommend optimal vascular access solutions

Job Description:

Essential Responsibilities Including But Not Limited To:

  • Provides direct care to patients and makes necessary nursing judgments.
  • Coordinates the care of patients and directs assistive personnel in order to provide safe, effective, efficient, equitable and timely, patient-centered care.
  • Works in a collegial and collaborative relationship with other health professionals to determine healthcare needs of patients and families.
  • Maintains annual mandatory education requirements.
  • Demonstrates a commitment to patients, staff, and to Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center.

Education:

  • Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program required.
  • Baccalaureate degree in Nursing strongly preferred.

Experience:

  • 1-3 years related work experience required.

License/Certification(s):

  • License Registered Nurse required.
  • American Heart Association – Basic Life support Certificate required.

Pay Range: $38.00 - $98.19
