As a Supplier Quality Engineering Intern, your role is the critical in ensuring patient safety and quality of care. The Supplier Quality Engineer support on ensuring that raw material/components provided by suppliers meets BSC, customer, and regulatory requirements. You will build relationships with professionals in a diverse range of fields, inspiring people to embrace a culture of continuous improvement. BSC is a place where you'll develop your career while taking on meaningful and challenging work.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Act as an effective leader or team member in supporting material related issues with suppliers.
  • Apply systematic problem-solving methodologies in identifying, prioritizing, communicating, and resolving the issues with supplier.
  • Collaborate and gain experience from a diverse cross-functional team
  • Gain better understanding by applying academic knowledge to a real-world problem set
  • Improve patient lives around the world every day
  • Value Improvement Projects (VIPs) such as driving supplier or internal process improvements allowing cost savings for Boston Scientific
  • Propose update to inspections plans to ensure products meet critical requirements

Minimum qualifications include:

  • Must graduate between Fall 2026 and Spring 2028
  • Must have at least one semester of school left post-internship
  • Currently pursuing a degree in Biomedical engineering, Mechanical engineering, Electrical engineering, Chemical engineering, Computer science, Computer engineering, Materials engineering, or Industrial engineering
  • Must be able to commit to one of the following full internship program periods: May 18th – August 7th OR May 26th – August 14th
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship, now or in the future, for employment-based work authorization
  • Must have reliable transportation to and from the Maple Grove, MN or Arden Hills, MN Boston Scientific Corporate location
  • Experience collaborating on an engineering project in school or in a professional environment
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office tools including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Ability to communicate effectively with diverse, cross-functional teams.
  • Self-starter with the ability to identify improvement opportunities and passion to learn new technologies and find new solutions.
  • Knowledge of analytical techniques and statistical analysis
