Software Engineer I

Unique opportunity to develop and implement product technologies to solve customer- and operational-facing issues for Research & Development department in Arden Hills, MN. The individual in this role will support new product development and sustaining engineering team solutions to multi-faceted customer and operational issues, requiring applied in-depth problem-solving competencies.

Participate as a member of our product engineering team for medical device and equipment systems supporting multiple BSC Products. Utilize a variety of new and proven technologies to deliver life-changing systems to patients and clinicians in support of BSC's mission. There is opportunity for future growth and leadership working with a global team.

Provide global industry-leading technical support to Boston Scientific field personnel, clinicians, patients, and other internal customers. Help our customers use our products by providing immediate, accurate, and up-to-date information regarding current and historical market-released R&D products.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Develop technical knowledge of Competitive Products and Systems to enable product solutions
  • Maintain up-to-date general industry knowledge
  • Continuously improve process and work methodologies by interfacing with peers/cross-functional groups and analyzing activities to improve workflow and work processes
  • In all actions, demonstrate a primary commitment to patient safety and product quality by maintaining compliance to the Quality Policy and all other documented quality processes and procedures
  • Must have good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Provide Technical support, as required, to TDP/PDP Teams
  • Must be a self starter, manage own time and prioritize based on business priorities

Required qualifications:

  • Former Boston Scientific intern or co-op
  • Pursuing a degree in Data Science or Statistics

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with medical device industry standards
  • Strong communication and time management abilities
  • Travel on average 10% to BSC divisions and suppliers world-wide

In all actions, demonstrate a primary commitment to patient safety and product quality by maintaining compliance to the Quality Policy and all other documented quality processes and procedures. Assure that appropriate resources (personnel, tools, etc.) are maintained to assure Quality System compliance and adherence to the BSC Quality Policy.
