Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities:

Role: Support Specialist for SLT,BODS systems

Responsibilities:

1. SAP SLT & Data Replication Support

• Monitor and maintain SLT replication processes to ensure continuous and accurate real-time data replication.
• Troubleshoot SLT replication errors and resolve latency or data inconsistency issues.
• Optimize initial data loads and manage performance tuning for ongoing replication tasks.
• Coordinate with source and target system owners to manage schema mappings and connection integrity.

2. SAP BODS/Data Services Administration

• Support ETL jobs in SAP BODS by monitoring job executions, handling failures, and ensuring timely data loads.
• Maintain job schedules, resolve transformation logic issues, and tune performance.
• Work with development teams to deploy, promote, and validate data services jobs in production.

3. SAP HANA Modeling and Data Management

• Maintain HANA views (attribute, analytic, calculation views) and support ongoing optimization efforts.
• Resolve performance bottlenecks in HANA models and ensure efficient SQL execution.
• Assist users in understanding data models and respond to data-related inquiries.

4. Data Integration & ETL Monitoring

• Support end-to-end data integration across SAP ECC, BW, S/4HANA, and non-SAP systems.
• Monitor and validate data flows to ensure consistency and accuracy across systems.
• Manage integration touch points using BAPIs, iDocs, and RFCs.

5. Incident Management & Troubleshooting

• Act as first and second-line support for data replication and integration incidents.
• Conduct root cause analysis and document resolutions for recurring issues.
• Collaborate with SAP Basis and application teams for system-level troubleshooting.

6. System Health Checks & Performance Monitoring

• Perform daily/weekly health checks on SLT, BODS, and HANA environments.
• Proactively identify issues with system performance and replication bottlenecks.

7. Documentation & Compliance

• Maintain accurate documentation of replication configurations, ETL mappings, and support procedures.
• Ensure compliance with data governance and audit requirements.

8. Continuous Improvement

• Recommend enhancements in data load strategies and replication configurations.
• Participate in patch upgrades, system refreshes, and performance testing.

Preferred/Value-Added Responsibilities

• Support integration with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, GCP) and web service-based data sources.
• Use analytical skills to identify trends in incidents and propose preventive measures.
• Contribute to automation of monitoring or alerting processes where feasible.

Qualifications

Educational qualification: BE/BTECH/ME/MTECH/MBA/MCA

Experience: 3+ years experience in SLT and BODS

Mandatory/requires Skills:

• SAP SLT and SAP BODS/Data Services
• SAP HANA modeling

Preferred Skills:

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working with cloud platforms and web service-based data sources
