Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Monitoring the operation of current ETL/ELT processes based on SQL Server.
  • Identifying, analyzing, and solving problems in data flows.
  • Supporting the optimization of query performance, stored procedures, and SQL/T-SQL scripts and Notebooks.
  • Creating and modifying SQL/C#/.NET scripts to ensure the continuous operation of systems.

Development and implementation of new solutions in Data Warehouse:

  • Active participation in the design and implementation of new data loading and processing processes to the existing Data Warehouse, based on Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Creating new tables, stored procedures, and views in the Microsoft SQL Database environment.
  • Integrating new data sources with Data Warehouse.

Support in the migration of solutions to Databricks:

  • Active participation in the process of transferring selected existing data processing processes to the Databricks environment.
  • Helping in testing and validating migrated components.

Working in Scrum methodology and reporting:

  • Active participation in Scrum team meetings (Daily Scrum, Sprint Planning, Retrospective, Review).
  • Regular reporting of work progress and any encountered problems to the Product Owner.
  • Preparing and updating technical documentation related to the tasks being carried out.

Qualifications

Profile:

  • Student/on a technical, IT, or a related course.
  • Availability of at least 20 hours per week.
  • Basic programming knowledge in Python: Interest in using Python in the context of data analytics.
  • Knowledge of data-related areas: data engineering, Data Science
  • Knowledge of SQL Server: Understanding of relational databases, ability to write SQL queries.
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills: Ability to analyze data, identify problems, and propose effective solutions.
  • Willingness to learn and proactivity: Readiness to quickly acquire new knowledge and independently search for solutions.
  • Knowledge of English: Ability to read technical documentation and communicate at B2 level.

Desirable:

  • Interest in MS Fabric / Databricks: Willingness to learn and explore technologies related to data engineering platforms, such as MS Fabric Dataflows, Notebooks (PySpark/Scala) or Databricks.
  • Understanding of IaaC (Infrastructure as Code): Willingness to learn and basic knowledge of tools such as BICEP or Terraform for deployment automation.
