Systems Engineer, Staff Controls

At our location in Darmstadt we are currently looking for a Systems Engineer, Staff Controls to take a leading expert role in the development, integration and safeguarding of complex control and diagnostic systems.
Your tasks
- Lead technical focal point for system-level topics, including responsibility for system reviews and technical release decisions
- Representation of system architectures and technical solutions towards internal and external stakeholders
- Subject matter expert role for complex systems and controls topics, including development of diagnostic and communication concepts
- Responsibility for system design and integration activities, applying holistic solution approaches across functions and disciplines
- Contribution to projects and change management activities, including technical assessment and coordination of system changes
- Development, implementation and continuous improvement of control, diagnostic and system-related processes and standards
- Execution of complex technical and methodological analysis and derivation of corrective measures
- Coordination and alignment with cross-functional and international expert teams along the entire development lifecycle
- Preparation, documentation and communication of system-level results and technical recommendations to relevant stakeholders
Your profile
- Master's degree in engineering, computer science, physics or comparable technical field, or equivalent qualification with strong systems and controls expertise
- Extensive professional experience in systems engineering, control systems and embedded software development
- Deep expertise in diagnostic and communication concepts for complex BMS control systems in an automotive or comparable environment
- Strong experience with automotive communication protocols and standards (e.g. SAE J1939, etc.)
- Solid experience in specifying system interfaces using the Vector tool (CANalyzer, CANdelaStudio, etc.).Work experience in the field of cybersecurity engineering
- High level of autonomy and technical accountability within complex system landscapes
- Proven ability to solve novel and complex problems, developing robust and scalable systems solutions
- Strong analytical and conceptual skills, combined with structured and solution-oriented thinking
- Excellent communication skills and experience in functional leadership and coordination of interdisciplinary teams
