The Engineer - Quality Assurance is responsible to provide quality support to production operations to ensure the integrity of components and products produced. The individual will aggressively drive quality improvement efforts in assigned area with goal of achieving "zero defect" performance and support process improvement and problem-solving efforts with focus on protecting and improving product quality.
Ensure to extend support to Operations Team for delivering quality products
Drives and champions quality improvement efforts in shop floor
Provides expert analysis, guidance and support to Production in Process Improvement activities, including effective use of Problem-Solving tools / techniques and statistical analysis.
Through the application of APQP, supports the external customers in New Product Introduction, Localization and Continuous Improvement activities.
Ensures that internal customer needs for Control Systems are met in a timely and functional manner.
Results for this position will be measured by improvements to Customer Satisfaction and Internal Scrap rate.
Optimizes Process Capability on significant characteristics through effective application of statistical analysis techniques and training of shop floor people in Problem-Solving.
Responsible for Product and Process audits, Internal and Customer complaints closures and monitoring with effective counter measure implementation.
Applies knowledge of Inspection Equipment and Techniques to provide timely data usable for informed decision-making.
Utilizes analytical skill sets to implement root cause analysis and provide recommendations for corrective action.
Should be competent in ISO 50001:2011 requirements for establishing, implementing, maintaining and improving an energy management system and follow a systematic approach in achieving continual improvement of energy performance, including energy efficiency, energy use and consumption.
Responsible for Change Management process, Calibration process.
