Account Manager, Senior Battery Energy Storage Systems (m/f/d)

At our location in Darmstadt we are currently looking for a
Account Manager, Senior Battery Energy Storage Systems (m/f/d)
to lead the strategic business development of our battery energy storage portfolio in the international market.
Your tasks
- End-to-end responsibility for strategic business development of the BESS portfolio in international markets
- Development and implementation of customer and business development strategies to drive sustainable growth and profitability
- Strengthening existing customer relationships and acquisition of new strategic lead customers
- Strategic upselling and cross-selling in close alignment with internal stakeholders to increase revenue and market penetration
- Continuous market and competitive analysis, including global market dynamics and international competitors, and derivation of strategic measures
- Responsibility for offer, pricing, and contract strategies, including coordination of complex commercial negotiations
- Planning, organization and execution of trade shows, customer events, and management presentations, ensuring professional external representation
- Preparation of sales forecasts and contribution to long-range planning, aligned with market and portfolio developments
- Leading and coordination of cross-functional project teams
Your profile
- Master's degree (e.g. in engineering or business) or equivalent qualification
- Extensive professional experience in strategic sales or business development
- Relevant experience in battery energy storage systems or related technical fields
- Deep understanding of global BESS markets and competitive dynamics
- Solid understanding of BESS system architecture, grid integration, and application use cases (e.g. utility-scale, C&I, microgrids)
- Experience in strategic sales, negotiations, and complex projects, including the ability to navigate complex contractual frameworks
- Willingness to travel across Europe to engage with customers at executive level
- Very strong stakeholder management, communication and negotiation skills in English and German
- Ideally fluency in additional European languages
