Operations Research Analyst, Senior

As an operations analyst, you're passionate about exploring the root cause of an issue and then analyzing, reporting, and developing recommendations for a creative solution. We need an experienced research analyst like you to help us solve complex problems for our clients. On our Analysis and Plans team, you'll evaluate data assessment strategies such as mathematical and statistical modeling, data analysis, and decision support analytics processes to deliver solutions.

You won't go at it alone, you'll work alongside our robust team and industry experts to conduct research, prepare graphs and charts, and analyze and interpret military programmatic cost data using cost and benefit analyses, what-if analyses, optimization, and economic modeling. Once documented, you'll develop working documents and presentations to include descriptive language and graphs to present results, collaborate with stakeholders, and participate in various program meetings to improve program efficiency.

In this role, you'll use your passion for analytics and statistics to devise modeling and measuring techniques utilizing mathematics, statistical methods, engineering methods, operational mathematics techniques such as probability models, statistical inference, simulations, and optimization along with other principles and laws of scientific and economic disciplines.

Use your operations research knowledge to develop technologies and concepts that advance support to a Combatant Command's actions and activities in their area of responsibility.

You Have:

• 10+ years of experience with mathematic or analytic methodologies, such as Operations Research Analysis (ORSA) or Data Science
• Experience with developing analytic methodologies, metrics, and decision criteria
• Experience with leveraging scientific methods to inform qualitative and quantitative analyses
• Experience with using automated statistical packages in support of analysis projects
• Experience with preparing and presenting senior leadership briefings and papers
• Experience with software programs that analyze data, such as R, Python, or SQL
• Experience collaborating with other analysts in an integrated development environment
• TS/SCI clearance
• Master's degree in Operations Research Systems Analysis, Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics

Nice If You Have:

• Experience with the CENTCOM Area of Responsibility a plus
• Experience with decision models, nodal or flow modeling, trending and forecasting, cost, or benefit analysis a plus
• Experience with code repositories, data, or information management a plus
• Experience with wargaming, simulation, or geospatial analysis a plus
• Experience with resource allocation a plus
• Experience with survey design or analysis and interview techniques a plus
• Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills a plus
• Master's degree in Operations Research, Data Science, Engineering, or Applied Mathematics preferred

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $69,300.00 to $158,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
