BigFix Engineer

Apply knowledge of cybersecurity engineering services related to HCL BigFix Platform and related modules to support operationally viable continuous monitoring solution. Engage multiple stakeholders and leverage expertise to perform day-to-day activities required to operate the BigFix solution in an enterprise environment. Provide information and data utilized for asset reporting. Troubleshoot technical issues and perform problem resolution regarding related incidents and service requests. Provide subject matter expertise on all BigFix components and modules. Due to the nature of work performed within this facility, U.S. citizenship is required.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience with BigFix module, including Asset Discovery, Inventory, Software Distribution, Compliance, Vulnerability Management, or Patch Management
  • 5+ years of experience with patching and upgrading HCL BigFix applications
  • 3+ years of experience with configuration management of operating systems and applications of popular security benchmarks published by DoD STIG
  • Experience with systems administration, basic troubleshooting, installation, and configuration, monitoring system performance, or performing application upgrades
  • Experience with software discovery and reporting using BigFix Inventory
  • Experience with troubleshooting BigFix client and relay communication issues in a large enterprise environment
  • Ability to provide BigFix support in an IT operations and maintenance Tier I and II role, including ticketing, issue response, and remediation
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements
  • HS diploma or GED

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience with evaluating BigFix best practices to conduct application tuning and optimization
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and Windows operating systems
  • Experience with integrating cybersecurity data using enterprise or custom tools data aggregation and analysis tools, including Splunk
  • Knowledge of federal information security policies, standards, procedures, directives, frameworks, federal security authorizations, assessment, and risk management processes for enterprise system
  • HCL Software BigFix Platform 10 or 11 Professional, HCL Software BigFix Compliance 10 or 11 Administrator, or Security+ Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $86,800.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
