The X-Ray Technician performs digital X-ray studies on patients per the orders placed by providers. The X-Ray Technician is a multi-skilled clinical professional who works within the scope of practice to assist in patient care under the direction of the provider.

Certification and Registration with ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) (required)
State Licensure (preferred, unless required by the state where the job is being performed)
BLS Basic Life Support – American Heart Association (preferred upon hire, must obtain from approved source prior to direct patient care) (required)
Associate's from an ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) accredited institute (preferred)
1 year experience in radiation safety and patient care (preferred)
Experience with Radiology Information System (preferred)
EPIC Electronic Health Record (EHR) (preferred)
Picture archiving communication system (PACS) (preferred)
Medical Terminology and the ability to use standard office equipment, required
One year of Medical Assisting experience, preferred
Strong oral and written communication skills, and an ability to collaboratively work with patients, families and teams within a high-volume environment, preferred
Strong attention to details and an ability to multitask without prior instruction or direction, preferred
Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on his or her assigned unit.
Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development of the life span and possesses the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interprets the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his or her age, specific needs and to provide the care needed as described in departmental policies and procedures.
