You will be responsible for ensuring that both TSF:s remains in compliance with regulatory and internal standards, including the Global Industry Standard on Tailings Management (GISTM) and other applicable regulations.
You will ensure that all engineering decisions are documented and traceable. This includes facilitating the risk management programme implementation, reviewing and approving engineering designs, construction and as-built reports, and ensuring that monitoring and surveillance programs are in place and effective.
You will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders such as site operations, environmental teams, and senior leadership, as well as external consultants (including Designer of Record, third party reviewers and ITRB) and regulatory bodies. You will participate in site-wide efforts for e.g. permitting and Life of Mine planning.
Additionally, as a member of the sustainability staff, you will lead the development and implementation of governance frameworks, provide technical guidance, and ensure that all documentation and reporting meet the highest standards of quality and transparency.

About Kevitsa
The Kevitsa Mine is located near Sodankylä, 170 km north of Rovaniemi in Finland's Lapland's region. The minerals extracted are Copper, Nickel, Gold, Cobalt and Platinum Group Metals. Kevitsa mine operations were started in 2012. The TSF has been externally audited under 2025 and found in full conformance with the GISTM.
About Luikonlahti
The Kylylahti operations in Eastern Finland comprises two locations; the Kylylahti mine site in Polvijärvi municipality and the Luikonlahti mill site in Kaavi municipality. The mine was closed at the end of 2020 and has undergone remediation work that will continue into 2026 and beyond. The mill operated until December 2020 and has since been in a Care & Maintenance phase. The TSF used for storing tailings from the milling process is located at the Luikonlahti mill site and is thus called Luikonlahti TSF. The TSF was in operation between 1968–2020 (with a hiatus between 2006–2011), storing tailings from multiple operators and concentration processes.
A self-assessment of the conformance to GISTM, based on the guidance in the ICMM Conformance Protocols, has been conducted by the personnel at site together with other sites in Boliden. The results show that Luikonlahti is in partial conformance with the Standard.
