Product & Service Quality Manager

The Boeing Company (Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA)) is seeking a Product and Service Manager (Level K) to support the Quality Team in Portland, Oregon.

This leader will be a reliable and proficient professional who possesses the ability to work well with broad groups and collaborate across organizational boundaries. They can efficiently implement solutions in an ever-evolving environment by relying on problem-solving, data, and analysis to drive decisions. Transformational leadership skills are vital to form team engagement and lead quality team members in implementing key initiatives including One Boeing Production System, Defect Reduction, and Lean Manufacturing. The ideal candidate will exhibit resilience and tenacity in implementing improvements in an established and regulated production and quality system.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Manages employees who evaluate and ensure that products, services and processes comply with customer contract requirements, engineering requirements, company procedures and government regulations.
  • Develops and executes business plans, policies and procedures and develops organizational and technical strategies to improve performance.
  • Provides education and coaching on the Quality System.
  • May make airworthiness determinations on behalf of the company and regulatory agencies. Acquires and manages resources and leads process improvements.
  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, suppliers and direct reports.
  • Manages, develops and motivates employees.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years' of experience in Aerospace, Manufacturing, Quality, or experience in a regulated industry.
  • 3+ years' of experience in Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
  • 1+ years' of experience leading teams and/or leading initiatives? (This includes managing team assignments, tracking status and developing a team's talent.)
  • Must be able to work 3rd shift.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 1+ years' experience in quality leadership.
  • 1+ years' experience with Project Management.
  • 1+ years' experience working in a Production environment.
  • Experience working with the LEAN Manufacturing.
  • Experience with Non-Conformance Review.
  • Bachelor's degree in related field.

Shift: This position is for 3rd shift.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. Summary Pay Range: $132,400 – $150,200
