Mid-Level Computational Electromagnetics Engineer

The Boeing Company, Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) - Phantom Works has an exciting opportunity for a Mid-Level Computational Electromagnetics Engineer to join us as part of the Advanced Codes & Measurements team located in Berkeley, MO.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Research and develop new methodologies for processing, analyzing & visualizing radar cross section (RCS) and antenna gain test data
  • Expand features and capabilities of existing measurement processing tools
  • Work with test engineers to optimize user workflows and automate processing
  • Code algorithms in C++ or Python
  • Develop and execute software verification, validation, and benchmarking test plans
  • Identify and resolve software issues
  • Document software and develop training tools for users

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite in Berkeley, MO.

Travel may be required up to 10% of the time

This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship as a condition of employment.

  • An interim and/or final U.S. Top Secret Clearance Post-Start may be required.

Ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
  • 5+ years related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience
  • 1 or more years experience with C, C++, Python and/or shell scripts

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills and Experience):

  • Experience processing and visualizing analysis/test data
  • Knowledge of electromagnetic fields, wave propagation, signal processing, and image processing techniques
  • Experience with antenna, radome, and Radar Cross Section (RCS) measurement techniques
  • Experience with GPU computing, signal processing, and AI/ML methods a plus
  • Advanced Degree in Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics
  • Active Security Clearance
