Mid-Level Electrical/Systems Engineer

The Boeing Company is seeking a Mid-Level Electrical/Systems Engineer to join our team in Charleston, South Carolina. This position will primarily support the Materials and Processes Engineering team at the Boeing South Carolina (BSC) site. The M&P team at BSC supports production sustainability efforts and implementation of new technology for the 787 programs. In addition, this position will require technical collaboration with other engineering teams at BSC and other sites.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Establish and maintain relationships and interactions with different internal groups to represent M&P Engineering and drive cross-functional integration.
• Define requirements, perform testing, and provide approval for tools, equipment, materials, parts, and processes used in electrical and systems applications.
• Design and build electrical hardware and software for installation and troubleshooting tools to be used in production.
• Evaluates emerging technologies for potential application to business needs.
• Perform root cause analysis and testing of electrical components to support production and our airplanes in the fleet.
• Understand and apply common troubleshooting tools, such as a multimeter, insulation resistance meter, TDR, current clamp, etc., during hands-on troubleshooting scenarios.
• Effectively prepare and present technical information to internal and external customers.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor or Master’s degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry.
• 3+ years of engineering experience.

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 3 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master +2 years related work experience).

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• Knowledge of CATIA/ENOVIA and experience with engineering/tool drawings.
• Hands-on experience building and troubleshooting electrical components, hardware, and software.
• Experience working in a production environment.
• Experience with process improvements.
• Experience communicating with cross-functional teams.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Level 2: $88,400 - $119,600

Level 3: $107,100-$144,900
