Maintenance Clerk / Flight Operations Support Specialist

Boeing Global Services is looking for a Maintenance Clerk/Flight Operations Support Specialist to ensure accurate, timely documentation to sustain aircraft availability and airworthiness. This role helps initializes and processes special inspections, maintains database accuracy, validates and routes Maintenance Action Forms (MAFs)/Work Orders (WOs), maintains Aircraft Discrepancy Books (ADB), and coordinates with Material Control, QA, Production Control and Data Base Administrators to support maintenance, inspection, repair and modification tasks.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Position Responsibilities

  • Helps initialize, review and process special inspections and maintenance actions in Aircraft Discrepancy Book.
  • Accurately document maintenance actions in Maintenance Action Forms (MAFs) for aircraft, engines and assigned equipment including Aviation Life Support Systems (ALSS), Aircraft Armament Systems (AAS) and Mission Mounted Equipment (MME).
  • Review Work Orders (WOs) initiated by Work Centers, pilots or aircrew for proper coding, adequate and correct discrepancy descriptions; modify WO fields as authorized prior to approval (all fields except BUNO, Assembly Code, and TM).
  • Verify and update job status codes, particularly at shift change, and ensure required status updates are recorded.
  • Assist Maintenance Control to ensure corrective actions are documented: determine need for new WOs when system limitations prevent required corrections, and confirm QA in-process and final inspections are recorded per process.
  • Assist Maintenance Control in maintaining and managing the Aircraft Discrepancy Book (ADB) for assigned aircraft; ensure JCN Logbook and database records are current and accurate.
  • Screen and forward MAFs to Logs & Records; coordinate with Work centers and/or Quality Assurance to correct modifiable fields before approval routing.
  • Perform maintenance planning analyses, develop work packages to support continued aircraft airworthiness, and review aircraft return-to-service documentation.
  • Support aircraft availability metrics and contribute to maintenance scheduling and readiness reporting.
  • Maintain effective communication with QA, Material Control, Work Centers, and supervisory personnel.

Basic Qualifications

  • Minimum 4 years' experience in aviation maintenance administration, maintenance control, or flight operations support — experience with U.S. Navy Maintenance Action Forms strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience preparing, reviewing and processing MAFs/MAF data, WOs, ADBs, and JCN records.
  • Proficient with maintenance information systems and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to interpret technical maintenance documentation and apply procedural directives.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in military aviation maintenance environments.
  • Prior experience coordinating with Data Base Administrators and Production Control.
  • High school diploma or equivalent. Technical or vocational training in aviation maintenance administration or related field preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping.
  • Ability to prioritize workload, work under pressure and meet deadlines.
