Entry-Level Support Engineering Data Specialist

The Boeing Global Services (BGS) is seeking an Entry-Level Support Engineering Data Specialist in Ridley Park, Pennsylvania. This role involves authoring technical publications and analyzing engineering, reliability, maintainability, supply chain, and customer support data to develop effective support solutions and products. The specialist will provide recommendations on product supportability and establish operational maintenance tasks and resources, while also developing support systems to meet supportability requirements. Identifying logistics support candidates and creating logistics support analysis records and reports are key responsibilities, along with determining spares provisioning requirements and recommending spare and replacement parts, levels, and stocking. Additionally, the specialist will write and maintain technical documentation for the operation, testing, inspection, and maintenance of aircraft systems and components, and evaluate aircraft and fleet performance, reliability, and availability to inform maintenance concepts. The role also includes assisting in collecting and storing system support technical data and specifications, as well as supporting logistics analysis for specific customers and contract types.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Knowledge of aviation related mechanical, electrical, avionics and support equipment
  • Analyze and evaluate engineering source data, vendor data, and customer data in order to design, prioritize, and develop technical data required to operate and maintain CH47 weapon systems
  • Analyze and evaluate impact of engineering changes on technical data
  • Develop and implement maintenance tasks, Trouble Shooting Procedures and Maintenance Operational Check (MOC's)
  • Read, interpret & analyze engineering data, tool lists, Logistic Support Analysis (LSA) data and supporting databases
  • Extensive working knowledge of the CH47 systems operation and maintenance concept
  • Working knowledge of the CH47 Interactive Electronic Technical Manual (IETM) and Common Authoring Environment (CAE)
  • Working knowledge of SLICWAVE - Logistics Support Analyst (LSAR) and MIL-STD13882B
  • Familiarity with Boeing Engineering and Product Support processes
  • Assist with quality reviews and validations, conduct in-process reviews, and support verification
  • Communicate complex technical information to personnel while interfacing effectively with team partners, Integrated Product Team (IPT) members, customers and cross-functional disciplines

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Experience with mechanical/electrical workflows
  • Experience or training reading and interpreting drawings or blueprints

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Associate's/Bachelor's Degree
  • Rotorcraft maintenance experience
  • Experience with Military Aircraft technical manuals and drawings
  • Experience analyzing and interpreting engineering data for inclusion into maintenance manuals and technical publications
