Electrical Engineer And Systems Architect (Senior Or Lead)

The Boeing Company is looking for an Electrical Engineer and Systems Architect (Senior or Lead) to join our BDS Electrical team in Huntington Beach, California.

This position will report to the Maritime & Terrestrial Electrical & Electronic Solutions team, which supports the Intelligence Systems portfolio of programs as well as other Maritime and Terrestrial efforts within the Space, Intelligence, and Weapons Systems division in Boeing. The role will emphasize test and troubleshooting, as well as anomaly resolution of existing electrical/electronic hardware used in our products. In addition to program sustainment work, there will be opportunities to support the Electronic Products Center of Excellence with future design work.

As a Lead Electrical Engineer and Systems Architect, you will be part of a bi-coastal team delivering the best solutions for today's complex engineering challenges. Our products range from highly capable Autonomous Extra-Large Unmanned Undersea Vehicles (XLUUVs) to unique Intelligence Systems custom underwater solutions for a variety of customers.

As the Lead Electrical Engineer and Systems Architect, you will be responsible for designing, integrating, and testing engineering solutions for electronic components and systems across the full product lifecycle, including both enhancing existing field units with the addition of new capabilities as well as architecting completely new systems.

In this hands-on role, you'll be working directly on state-of-the-art projects, where you will have opportunities to lead a growing team of Electrical Engineers collaborating with Chief Engineers, technical experts, and our customers, as well as providing technical support to suppliers. The day-to-day activities of this position will include architecting new engineering solutions, as well as performing and leading integration, test, and troubleshooting of maritime undersea electronic and electromechanical systems, during which you'll have the opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional peers, lead and mentor others, and drive the team to solve technical challenges to support our diverse portfolios.

Our bi-coastal team is in Huntington Beach, CA, and Herndon, VA, with active growth at both sites.
