Senior Strategy & Operations Manager

The Position

In this role, you will help keep the organization aligned by bringing together our global strategic priorities and deliverables, everyday operational needs, and rapidly emerging topics that require quick orientation and coordinated execution.

As part of CI's PMO group, you will play a key role in connecting global PMO activities and supporting the Chief of Staff/Head of PMO and global Head with aligned insights and coordinated follow-through. Engaging with scientific, business and operational stakeholders, you will help ensure that CI's most relevant long-term and short-notice priorities move forward with structure, clarity and momentum.

This position has a hybrid setup with approximately 2-3 days per week on-site.

Tasks & Responsibilities

1. In your new role, you will maintain an overarching view of CI's strategic priorities, ensuring progress, alignment, and visibility of deliverables across diverse stakeholder groups.
2. You will steer cross-functional execution work – spanning scientific, operational, and business areas – by providing clarity, alignment, and structured follow-through, leading through influence.
3. Furthermore, you will prepare high-quality, decision-ready communication, decision, or information materials that distill complex scientific and strategic information into actionable insights for senior leaders.
4. You will strengthen connectivity across the global CI PMO setup, acting as a unifying point that promotes consistent practices, information flow, and shared understanding across sites.
5. Moreover, you will develop and refine approaches for planning, reporting, and governance of CI's strategic priorities and operational activities, supporting transparency and coordinated execution.
6. In addition, you will support initiative owners and leadership by outlining options, clarifying expectations, assessing trade-offs, and helping navigate both ongoing activities and fast-emerging requests.

Requirements

• Doctoral degree (or equivalent) in life sciences, biomedicine, computational biology or similar
• Several years of experience in strategy consulting or a comparable strategic role with exposure to senior-level decision-making in pharma R&D or adjacent environments
• Strong ability to structure ambiguity, maintain cross-topic overviews, and bring clarity to multi-stakeholder environments
• Outstanding executive communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to synthesize complexity into clear, decision-oriented narratives
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with comfort making sound recommendations even with incomplete information
• Fluency in English, written and spoken
