The Senior Manager, Supply Chain Product Services is accountable to lead the Supply Chain Product Services teams for the Devens Cell Therapy manufacturing facility (CAR-T Therapies).

The Senior Manager of Supply Chain Product Services is responsible for managing the Product operations. The role is responsible for product tracking (chain of identity and chain of custody), leukapheresis receipt, label and packaging, outbound shipment, import/export permits, and cold chain logistics of personalized cell therapies produced at the manufacturing site.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage team member resource allocation to meet workflow demands
  • Coach and counsel team members to develop their skill sets and create an environment of continuous learning, teamwork, transparency, and a sense of urgency
  • Communicate with cross-functional leaders inside and outside of Supply Chain to drive successful outcomes for the site and functional business unit
  • Maintain and communicate performance metrics for team, setting and maintaining high expectations for team performance

Product Management and Logistics:

  • Act as the secondary point of contact for Cell Therapy Global Patient Scheduling (incoming & outgoing)
  • Manage the in-coming flow following patient apheresis material; partner with Cell Therapy Material Operations
  • Manage cell material handling and storage for leukapheresis, intermediate, and drug product. Ensure appropriate training and qualification for staff activities performed.
  • Serve as point of contact between Global Patient Operations and Devens CTF Manufacturing
  • Manage secondary packaging of final drug product and return shipment to patients
  • Ensure compliance with import/export and domestic shipping regulations

Manage Area Quality Systems & Compliance:

  • Conduct investigation and root cause analyses on any supply disruptions or material quality issues and report on corrective actions
  • Manage Site Supply Chain Standard Operating procedures
  • Own and manage deviations and corrective/preventive actions and change controls
  • Foster a culture of compliance and strong environmental, health, and safety performance.
  • Ensure appropriate training and qualification for staff-performed activities

Operational Excellence:

  • Track and report metrics to ensure completion of objectives and projects
  • Promote a mindset of continuous improvement, problem solving, and prevention
  • Participate in cross-functional teams to improve systems, processes, or internal/external performance
  • Perform other tasks as assigned

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Experience as a leader of leaders
  • Experience in biopharmaceutical clinical, supply chain, manufacturing, and commercialization; advanced knowledge of cGMP/Pharmaceutical regulations
  • Experience in a Site Supply Chain Organization
  • Experience with lean six sigma projects and change execution management
  • Ability to gown and maintain a sterile work environment
  • Knowledge of cGMP, OSHA, DEA, USP, and EP
  • Knowledge of fundamental concepts of materials management, planning, packaging controls and site production scheduling
  • Advanced proficiency in ERP systems and analytics tools
  • Ability to effectively communicate problem statements and viable solution options using pro vs. con and cost vs. benefit approaches
  • Ability to present data and analyses in an organized, clear, and concise manner
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office applications
  • Proficient written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently for extended periods of time
  • Ability to work as a team and mentor peers

Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree required in Life Sciences, Supply Chain, or equivalent
  • Preferred but not required: Certification in CPIM, CSCP, and/or CLTD
  • 5+ years relevant work experience required
  • 3+ years of experience supporting ERP systems (preferably SAP)

Compensation Overview: Devens - MA - US: $122,030 - $147,877

The starting compensation range(s) for this role are listed above for a full-time employee (FTE) basis. Additional incentive cash and stock opportunities (based on eligibility) may be available. The starting pay rate takes into account characteristics of the job, such as required skills, where the job is performed, the employee's work schedule, job-related knowledge, and experience. Final, individual compensation will be decided based on demonstrated experience. Benefit offerings are subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable plans then in effect and may include the following: Medical, pharmacy, dental and vision care.
