Our Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate for the Affiliate Lead role is a strategic, data-driven marketer with deep expertise in affiliate marketing. They have a proven track record in managing and growing affiliate programs, building strong partner relationships, and driving revenue through performance-based campaigns. This individual excels at optimizing campaigns using analytics and A/B testing, is comfortable negotiating commission structures, and brings strong organizational and communication skills. Proficiency with affiliate platforms like CJ Affiliate, Impact, or Rakuten is essential, along with a solid understanding of digital marketing metrics, tools like Google Analytics, and eCommerce platforms such as Shopify.

Role Overview

The Affiliate Lead is responsible for overseeing and driving affiliate marketing efforts, fostering relationships with partners, and developing strategies to expand and optimize affiliate programs. This role requires expertise in managing partnerships, optimizing campaigns, and ensuring that affiliate initiatives align with broader marketing objectives. The Affiliate Lead works closely with marketing, sales, and product teams to maximize revenue growth through affiliate channels.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the overall affiliate marketing strategy.
  • Identify, recruit, and onboard new affiliates to the program.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with affiliates and key partners.
  • Monitor affiliate activity to ensure compliance with terms and brand standards.
  • Track, analyze, and report on affiliate campaign performance metrics (ROI, traffic, conversions).
  • Optimize campaigns through A/B testing, landing page improvements, and content strategy.
  • Work with affiliates to optimize conversion rates and revenue potential.
  • Design and implement growth strategies to increase affiliate-driven revenue.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, sales, product) to align affiliate efforts with overall business objectives.
  • Stay current with industry trends, tools, and emerging strategies to remain competitive.
  • Define and negotiate commission structures with affiliates.
  • Ensure payouts are accurate and delivered on time.
  • Develop and manage the affiliate marketing budget.
  • Forecast and track spend, ROI, and ensure affiliate campaigns remain within budget.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements

  • In-depth understanding of affiliate marketing channels, tools, and strategies.
  • Experience with affiliate networks, software, and tracking platforms.
  • A university degree in marketing, communications, management, business or a related field.
  • Familiarity with digital marketing metrics and KPIs.
  • Strong analytical skills to evaluate campaign performance and make data-driven decisions.
  • Experience with web analytics tools (Google Analytics, Shopify, etc.).
  • Ability to create detailed reports and actionable insights.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for managing affiliate partnerships.
  • Proven ability to negotiate contracts and commission structures.
  • Strong presentation and persuasion skills for engaging stakeholders and affiliates.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and campaigns simultaneously.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills to meet deadlines.
  • Proficient with affiliate management tools (e.g., CJ Affiliate, Impact, Rakuten).
  • Ability to identify growth opportunities and resolve issues in affiliate relationships or campaign performance.
  • Creative mindset to develop new initiatives and partnerships.
