Shift Engineer

Permanent job available for a Shift Engineer to work at a prestigious accommodation building in Covent Garden, London. Salary up to £30k, working 8am-8pm, 4 on 4 off.

Job duties:

• Coordinate and perform routine, preventive and emergency maintenance and carry out repairs to obtain optimum efficiency.
• Respond to guest's maintenance needs promptly and ensure guests receive professional, efficient prompt and courteous service to hotel standards.
• Maintain the physical appearance and operational efficiency of the hotel mechanical and electrical systems.
• Installation & maintenance of all equipment related to HVAC, Water treatment, Fire Safety and emergency life support systems.
• Maintain, monitor and oversee the testing of the hotel's emergency and security systems, features, Fire Alarm, CCTV, sprinkler system.
• To oversee basic plumbing and drainage. Fixing leaking taps, WC's etc.

Job requirements:

• Ideally the Shift Engineer will have good all-around knowledge of building services.
• Must have previous experience in a similar role, ideally from a hotel environment.
• Great customer service skills.
• Must have the ability to lead, multi-task, and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
• IT skills including experience of using BMS, Word, Excel, and a preventative and reactive software reporting system.

The Shift Engineer job is based near to Covent Garden station, London WC2E 9JT.
