IOT Security Test Engineer

Qualification: BTech.B.E

Experience: 3 to 9 Years

Must Have Skills:

Experience working with security tools (e.g., Burp Suite, Nessus, OWASP ZAP, etc.) and automated testing frameworks (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, Python, Shell script).
HW Penetration Test – Bluetooth, Wifi, HDMI, Ethernet, USB
Mobile app Security testing – DAST, SAST
Reverse Engineering tools to expose FW vulnerabilities

Good to Have Skills:

Expertise in scripting languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation purposes.
Knowledge of security concepts like encryption, identity management, access control, and multi-factor authentication.
Certifications (Optional but Preferred): Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) or similar penetration testing certifications.
AWS Certified Security Specialty or equivalent cloud security certifications.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Automated Testing: Develop and execute automated test scripts to evaluate security functionalities, vulnerabilities, and integration points across IOT platforms.
Vulnerability Management: Identify security risks and vulnerabilities in IOT environments, report findings, and collaborate with development teams to remediate.
Test Planning: Design and implement test strategies and plans, focusing on security, performance, and scalability.
Risk Assessment: Conduct regular security assessments (penetration testing, vulnerability assessments, etc.) on IOT systems and software.
Security Best Practices: Recommend best practices in IOT computing environments.
Documentation: Create detailed reports of test results, security issues, and resolutions. Maintain clear and concise documentation of security procedures, test cases, and automation frameworks.
Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest IOT security trends, tools, and technologies to enhance the security of IOT/Smart TV platforms.
