The Head of Marketing for Construction and Power Providers is a strategic executive role responsible for leading the commercial, business, and marketing strategy for one of Black & Veatch's core sectors—Power Providers—as well as the company's Construction business. Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer and based at the company's global headquarters in Overland Park, Kansas, this role is an extension of the Power Providers Executive Leadership Team.
This leader will drive integrated marketing programs that align with business objectives, support sector growth targets, and respond to evolving client needs. They will translate strategic priorities into actionable plans that deliver measurable outcomes—such as pipeline growth, client retention, and market share expansion.
The Head of Marketing for Construction and Power Providers will lead the development and execution of marketing strategies that drive growth across both sectors. This role requires close collaboration with sales, business development, engineering, and operations teams to ensure marketing efforts are fully integrated throughout the client journey. A critical part of the role involves building and nurturing relationships with power utilities, industry organizations, and key stakeholders to enhance brand visibility and influence. The Head of Marketing will oversee demand generation, digital marketing, account-based marketing, and opportunity marketing initiatives, tailoring each to the unique lifecycle stage of the solutions being promoted. Additionally, the role will partner with external agencies, media outlets, and industry groups to amplify reach and establish thought leadership. Cross-sector collaboration is also essential, as the Head of Marketing will work with teams in Fuels & Natural Resources, Public Agencies & Utilities, and Infrastructure Advisory and more to ensure cohesive messaging and identify integrated solutions that meet evolving client needs.
